The graduation ceremony will end around 8:30pm. Grads will have plenty of time to hug their friends/family & take photos afterwards. Grads will then head home to change real quick, then they will need to be dropped-off at the Shorewood High School bus loop by 9:15/9:30pm. Buses will finish loading & then depart around 10:15pm, and grads will arrive at their first venue at 11pm! The grad party will end at approximately 5:15am, and grads will be dropped off at Shorewood around 6am. Parent/guardian pick up is required.
The event locations are a closely guarded secret! Parents may email the Spree Committee to request communication with location details on the night of the event.
THERE ARE NO IN AND OUT PRIVILEGES. If you choose to leave your parent/guardian will be called to come pick you up and take you home, even if you are 18. You will not be allowed to return to the event. Students will be expected to adhere to school event policies.
PURSES, BACKPACKS, ETC.. WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Lockers are not available. Any non-allowed items will be collected prior to loading buses & stored under the buses for the duration of the night. Bring only what can be easily carried. Phones are not recommended, but grads may bring them.
Grads hug family/friends and take photos after their grad ceremony.
Buses depart Shorewood High School
Grads load buses / depart from last venue, and head to Shorewood.
Grads arrive at Shorewood. Parent/guardian pick-up is required.
Senior Spree is a parent organized and GradNight hosted event to ensure that Senior students spend their graduation night in a safe and fun environment where their hard work and dedication to their education can be celebrated.
According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, traffic collisions are the number one killer of teenagers in America. Nationally about 5,000 teens will die in automobile collisions. Our goal is to have all of our senior students spend their graduation night in a safe and alcohol/drug-free environment.
For Shorewood's 2025 Senior Spree, tickets will cost $190 for early registration and then cost $210 from February 1st onwards.
Scholarships are available to students who need them. Please reach out to your school counselor if you need assistance.
Additionally, after the early registration pricing period ends on January 31st, students may also independently fundraise to reduce their regular ticket price by selling Brown Bear Car Wash tickets. Go to the 'Donate/Fundraise' part of the website for more info!
One of the primary expenses for the senior class is their Senior Prom. The class of 2025 has their work cut out just to have enough money to fund their senior prom and senior breakfast and other events (they have about $10k, and prom cost about ~$20k - yes, its that expensive!). They will make a little off ticket sales for prom, but they plan to keep the cost quite low, so more kids can go, which is great, considering there are other expenditures the night of prom, too, which can rack up the price by upwards of $200 or so, depending on clothes, if they go to dinner, transportation, corsages/boutonnieres - it all adds up.
Now, since the Grad Night/Senior Spree is an event that happens AFTER graduation and is therefore not a school-sanctioned event, ASB cannot legally 'gift' any money towards the Grad Night Party. So, none of the money the kids make from selling prom tickets can be used for Grad Night.
We also need to have insurance coverage for the Grad Night event - and we can't get insurance coverage for an event like this without going through a company that specifically hosts these Grad Night events. Because of the need for insurance, the cost is higher. Schools all over the greater Seattle area utilize this company (called 'GradNights') to run and host Grad parties - but they have to charge a decent fee to pay for the high insurance policy.
Shorecrest sells Christmas trees every year and makes about 12k to go towards paying for scholarships and reducing their overall ticket cost.
This is a >7hour event, packed full of fun activities of all kinds, lots of food, and the safest kind of Grad celebration our kids could have on this special night (as opposed to kids being out and about drinking and driving - which is a common activity kids do on the night of their HS graduation). If you think about it, the kids are getting a big bang for their buck, considering it's 7hrs of fun!
Lastly, the Spree committee has really worked hard to make this event something that ALL students who want to go CAN go. We have set up a way for kids to sell the ever-popular Brown Bear Car Wash tickets, which will deduct from their overall ticket price, depending on how many tickets they sell. For example, if a student sells 10 tickets, their Spree price goes down by $100!!! They could sell tickets to grandparents, neighbors, friends, etc. We also are giving scholarships to kids who really need them - they just need to go in and talk with their counselor.
We highly encourage your Senior to please consider selling carwash tickets to friends and family! This is a super easy way to bring down their cost! ***Additionally, there are several parents who have already purchased their student's Spree tickets, but are willing to purchase Brown Bear Car Wash Tickets to support other grads. Please reach out to us via email so we can connect you with a family who would like to help by purchasing car wash tickets! Here is the car wash fundraiser link to send to family/friends: https://www.pinwheel.us/register/index/YJDNRKLUTKFAGT6?sid=9527b2148e404e2f8db887b827598bea
Shhhhh....it's a secret! If a parent/guardian would like to know where their student is going for Spree, please email us at info@shorewoodseniorspree.com , and we can email them once the grads have left to go to Spree.
The fun starts at 11:00 pm and continues until 5:00 am. Parents have worked very hard to ensure there are plenty of activities, entertainment and food for everyone!
All transportation is provided from the pickup location (Shorewood High School) to the various event locations. Students will be returned by bus to Shorewood High School.
We HIGHLY recommend that senior students be picked up at the end of their grad party. In the past, parents have carpooled to make drop off and pick up more efficient. Students are usually very tired at the end of a long graduation day and Senior Spree. Driving home from the event is not recommended.
The event coordinator and event locations have planned for security. Additionally, senior parent volunteers will be supervising students inside and outside the event venues.
Dress for weather and plan for indoor activities. Seniors will not need anything extra unless they have an allergy that requires an epi-pen or other medical device.
To ensure that the event remains safe and substance free, purses and/or backpacks are prohibited.
Seniors should not bring bags, purses, drugs, alcohol, or money. Grads will be provided everything they need overnight include food and drinks while at Spree. Seniors are encouraged to leave cell phones at home, but may bring them if desired.
Yes! There will be a photographer at all locations and information will be provided on how to access the photos.
Both venues have somewhat quieter spaces for kids to take a 'break' if they aren't feeling well, or if they just need some down time. If a student needs to go home, their parents are called and only THEIR PARENTS MAY PICK THEM UP, even if they are 18.
